S26-1 Trafficking Controls Signaling of the CaSR

Program: Symposia
Session: S26-New Twists on GPCR Trafficking
Sunday, June 16, 2013: 9:00 AM-10:30 AM
Presentation Start Time: 9:00 AM
Room 206 (Moscone Center)
Gerda E Breitwieser*
Geisinger Clinic, Danville, PA
Talk Description:

CaSR signaling is remakable insensitive to desensitization despite the constant presence of extracellular calcium. We define a novel model in which sustained CaSR signaling is integrally supported by agonist-evoked exocytic trafficking from secretory pathway compartments.
