Summarize the benefits and limitations of current insulin analogues Describe the clinical important differences between current and emerging insulins to the extent data is available in: (1) Glycemic efficacy, hypoglycemia, and pharmacodynamics; (2) Quality-of-life, including dosing frequency, adherence and impact on weight; (3) Special populations including pediatrics, pregnancy, older adults, and renal insufficiency Describe recent advances in insulin therapy and their implications for clinical practice
