Biographical Sketch:
Professor Juliane Léger qualified in Medecine at the University of Paris (specialist diploma in Paediatrics 1985). Since 1988 she has been working at Robert Debré University hospital in Paris in the department of Paediatric Endocrinology and Diabetes. She is an active member of the European society for Paediatric Endocrinology since 1990 and of the Endocrine Society since 2005. In 2003 she became Professor of Paediatrics at Paris VII University. Since 2005, she is coordinator of the French National Reference Centre of Growth Endocrine Disorders (Centre on rare disorders labelled by the French Ministry of health). Her research interests include various aspects of thyroid and pituitary diseases management and long-term consequences of intrauterine malnutrition on growth, neurodevelopmental outcome and metabolic disorders.
